Concept

Next to the used strings and icons, the CHILI Editor WorkSpace also allows for the modification of the color scheme used in the interface.

Some pre-configured color schemes are provided as starting points (as part of the CHILI application itself, and not configurable in themselves). After selecting a closest match, administrators can select new color values for the range of supported color types.

Available Colors

NOTE: some items withing the interface can have an additional override of the specified WorkSpace colors. Tabs and Panels, for example, both have an "Override colors" option in their properties, which allow you to specify different colors throughout the interface, rather than using just the single configuration).

Story Editor

The default background color for the Story Editor (note that separate settings exist in ViewPreferences > Story Editor for the display of plain text)

Page Border

The 1px border around the pages on the canvas

Selected Page Border

The same 1px border, but for the currently selected page

Page Bleed

Border color for the page bleed guides

Page Slug

Border color for the page slug guides

Page Margins

Border color for the page margin guides

Page Spine

Line color for the page spine (and flap) guides

Img Placeholder

Background color for images in combination with display quality = "None" (which can be set in ViewPreferences)

Divider Color

Color of the background between the center area (canvas + toolbars) and the left/right tabs

Page Grid

Color of the page grid guides (which can be toggled in ViewPreferences > Grid And Snap)

Snap Highlight

The line color of the span-to guides (which are shown as a frame is moved around the page)

Loading Screen

Background color of the loading/saving/progress screen

Progress Bar

Color of the progress bar in the loading/saving/progress screen

Frame Border, Normal

Border color for frames without an applied border

Frame Border, Selected

Border color for selected frame (if no border has been applied on the frame itself)

Frame Border, Hover

Border color for editable frames (ie: not fully locked and not in adminstrative mode) during mouse over

Frame Bg, Hover

Background color for editable frames (ie: not fully locked and not in adminstrative mode) during mouse over

Frame Drag Target

Background color for frames in which content can be dropped. This is triggered by dragging (for example) and image from the DAM Feed onto an Image Frame, or a snippet onto a Snippet Frame

Frame Inset

Line color for frame inset guides (if applicable)

BaseLine Grid

Line color for visualization of the document baseline grid

ToolBar Background

General background color for toolbars

ToolBar Item Background

Background color for an individual toolbar item

ToolBar Divider

Line color for the vertical line dividing toolbar items

Tab Background

Background color for the lef/right (vertical) tabs

Tab Text

Text color for the lef/right (vertical) tabs

Tab Background, Selected

Background color for the selected lef/right (vertical) tabs

Tab Text, Selected

Text color for the selected lef/right (vertical) tabs

Tab Divider

Divider color between the panels and the vertical tabs (typically the same as "Tab Background, Selected" for the best visual result)
