Creating a first document

How is your document created

Your first document will be created

  • From within the backoffice, manually
  • From the surrounding portal application (e.g. webshop, customer application, ...)

Once in the editor you are working in a document.
You cannot be in the editor, without being in a document.

If allowed, you can however have the option to open a new document, and continue working in the other document.

A document opened in the editor, showing various elements like text, frames, images

The concept

A document consists of pages.
Each page holds one or more frames, of different types.

  • Text frames
  • Image frames
  • Snippet frames
  • Rectangle frames
  • Circle frames
  • Line frames
  • ...

The frames hold pieces of information. Image frames tend to hold images (thats why we named them image frames )
and text frames will hold text.

Depending on the frame you selected, you can set information in different panels.
You can define wich panel should open when you click on different types of frames.
It seems obvious that a text-panel should open, when you click a text-frame.
However, you can set up a different behaviour depending on your needs, and the needs of your customers.
E.g. You could choose to open the variable list window when a client tries to select the text frame.
The text frame might be locked, bacause the user is only allowed to edit through the variable list.
