3D Folding Effects
Enabling and applying effects
Effects can be enabled in the folding properties panel by checking the "enable effects" checkbox. Once enabled, 2 additional panels are shown:

In the "Effects" panel in the Materials tab, you can find all of the configurations located for creating and managing your materials. In order for the effects to become visual, lights need to be added. | |||
Reflection map | Specular mapDefines the surface shininess and colour highlight. The higher the value the more shininess. | ||
| Reflection mapIs a cube map that resembles it's surrounding environment. Using a reflection mask makes only a certain part of the document to reflect it's surrounding. Custom reflection mapThe editor packs a series of default reflections (gold,silver,...) although custom reflections can be added too for use. A map is build up out of 6 panes, each representing a side. (top, bottom, left, right, front, back) | ||
| Emboss typeHere 2 options are available, height(aka bump) or normal map. Our engine makes use of normal maps only and therefor converts height maps in normal maps before usage. Creating a normal mapA normal map can be created in an application as Adobe Photoshop.
